I think it's time to clear the decks of all this rubbish on here.
This is not "freedom of speech" - this is offensive and senseless abuse.
It sickens me to have to see these topic headlines every time I visit here on a Site that was created in honour of Lea De Mae to be used by those who admired and respected her.
If you are too busy to do this, then please give me "editing facilities" for a few days and I will sort it out.
Regards,
Victor, London. (CSS Forum)
PS. There is a registration and log-in requirement at CSS and anonymous postings are not accepted.
There 's a lot of places on the web for illminded people to visit. Let this site return to be the only thing it was intended for: to keep alive stronger than ever the sweetest memory of a wonderfull unforgettable unlucky creature !
I agree. The words are crude and unwanted, untrue, etc.
But how would a registration and log-in requirement prevent someone from saying anything disruptive if they really wanted too? I think this is one or two individuals using diffrent names. My suggestion would be to trace these stupids, find them, then have them jump off a 10m board without any water below. Otherwise if we change this board it is giving them the attention they are desprately craving for. And if we want to give them credit, or attention I say we meet these dilusional people face to face. Or at least we could plaster their names and addresses all over the www. I do have ideas on who this (these) people are. I could be way off. But it is obviously someone that still feels threatend by Andrea. Or quite possibly jealous. Or a little of both? To respond to these post is exactly what these people want. The quality of Andreas personality is evident by what her sister and her friends have wrote about her. And as a friend of hers I know that almost every person that knew Andrea loved her.
I do see cause for deletion of these sort of posts. It is hurtful, untrue, hateful, opinions that are inaccurate. These posts are causing undue stress on Andreas friends and family. For that reason I would fully support deletion of all these sorts of posts since they are being frequent in their demenor. Also, since it was obvious that Lucie was upset with such posts and have said that such posts keep herself from posting and this still continues after that statement there now could possibly be legal reprecussions from still slandering the name of Andrea. I suggest to Lucie to maybe look into that as well. It is I am sure diffrent from country to country but I am sure most countries have such rules.
There are ways of finding out who is posting. What happens, and there is no need for any law inforcment to give permisson. You can trace to the actual address, the actual computer, and from there the actual user of the computer. No spyware, no adware, no firewall, no virus scan, nothing can interfere from finding it out. All that information is in the server and is traceable. The big misconception of the www. is that most people think you can remain hidden behind a screen name. This has never, and will never be the case. It is easier to trace than a phone call. All you need is the right connections. How do you think they find the people who start up these viruses all the time?
Para, can you get in touch with me to talk about and solve the "rubbish problem"?
To all the authors of this thread: Have you every watched somebody who gets no social feedback at all?
It's still my opinion that the best way to cope with trials of shocking and infringing is to simply strictly ignore them. Discussing the matter like we do it here is like putting **** onto a higher level than it deserves. A dog may bark as long and as loud as it wants, a sick mind may spit out whatever it wants - it can't insult us unless we attach too much importance to it. I don't like to give these few idiots the honour of reacting to whatever they write, thus kind of accepting them as communication partner. Each reaction only serves them as a reflection of their existence. Overlooking their postings would let them be what they are: 0
However, if nobody shares my philosophy, I'm willing to follow the majority. It's not MY forum, it belongs to everybody.
However, I think the steps that have been taken are the right ones. As mentioned there are plenty of space on the web to display opinions. Here is not the place on the web for those types of opinions. I know you compromized here. But when the same people are disrespecting not only the deceased but also the family of such frequently, steps needed to be taken. It is one thing by not looking and replying to their posts, but better yet the posts having very limited time to be seen period.
I personaly thank you for the steps that have been taken.
Please can you remove the "Biography" posting too, as requested in the topic. The author is also making very hurtful and offensive comments about Lea's best friend Monica who let us see all the special photos from her personal collection and also gave me permission to make special versions for CSS (framed) etc.
Is this the way to thank Monica by insulting her on a site dedicated to the "Loving Memory" of her dear friend, Lea De Mae?
I can't understand how people can be so stupid to write such bull****s about Lea. They are only miserable wimp who only dare write unkind words behind their nickname, behind their computer to a dead pornstar. I don't understand them. I can't understand the behaviour of these guys who are supposed to be adult. I'm really upset ! These "users" should be desactivated.
