Is it me? I come here, knowing it is at it's end. But is it? This board gives me comfort. At this moment I expect to hear no news of Andrea for a while, maybe never. Yet, I come here. Have any of you had this sensation? This sad event has brought us all together. To surround one we all love and admire. I am so glad I did not sit silent. You people here, are wonderful and so supportive. People from Europe, Australia, America and Canada, among others. Andreas' wonderful family, friends, fans, co-workers.

Andrea has built a bridge. We are all in one place. I can see right here that Andreas spirit touches. This is why I must continue to come back.  It's obvious that to many that she was much more than just a friend, much more than an actress. She has built hope in me. Hope, that there are still people on the earth that still see beyond the outside of a person. And that do not judge one for what may be considered wrong in some ways. Her body is gone, but her light shines as bright as it ever has. Thank you all. Though she has passed on, through Andrea, I remain in good company.

For me, the angst of losing Andrea will remain until my dying day. She has touched my heart. I only hope I can live up to half of the person she really was. I am sure between us all her spirit will live on.

To my dearest family and friends, some things I'd like to say. But first of all, to let you know, that I have arrived okay. I’m writing this from Heaven, here I dwell with God above. Here there's no more tears of sadness, here is just eternal love. Please don't be unhappy just because I’m out of sight. Remember that I’m with you every morning noon and night.

That day I had to leave you when my day on earth was through, God picked me up and hugged me and said, I welcome you. It's good to have you back again. You were missed while you were gone. As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on. There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man. God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do. And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.

And when you lie in bed at night the day's chores put to flight. God and I are closest to you... in the middle of the night. When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years. Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you to tears, but do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain. Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned, If I was to tell you, you wouldn't understand. But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over. I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before. There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb; But together we can do it by taking one day at a time. It was always my philosophy and I’d like it for you too; That as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain; Then you can say to God at night .. my day was not in vain. And now I am contented that my life was worthwhile, knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.

When your walking down the street and you've got me on your mind, I’m walking in your footsteps only half a step behind. And when you feel that gentle breeze or the wind upon your face, that's me giving you a great big hug or just a soft embrace. And when its time for you to go, from that body to be free, Remember you’re not going, you’re coming here to me.

The poem above is “Letter From Heaven” written by Ruth Ann Mahaffey in 1998. It was published on numerous websites in many versions because many anonymous authors added  their strophes to it. The version above contains numerous alterations also, so Victor was right that the author was unknown.  The original version of “Letter From Heaven” and other poems written by Ruth Ann Mahaffey you can find on her webpage: http://www.ruthann1.com/LetterFromHeaven.htm

Victor, thank you for publishing this poem on this forum.

I admit that I have the special attitude to this poem. I found it on this forum in the same day when I learnt about Andrea’s death. When I read it for the first time exerted the great impression on me but my attitude to it changed with time. I read it at the beginning in order to comfort myself, I discovered its deep meaning later. I remembered the last strophes of this poem peculiarly.

When your walking down the street and you've got me on your mind,
I’m walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when its time for you to go, from that body to be free,
Remember you’re not going, you’re coming here to me.

When I am thinking about months which they passed from her death and about what happened at that time I am discerning the great truth in these words.

I just realized that it had passed one and a half year from Andrea’s death. It still seems to me that it happened yesterday. The time is passing so fast.

“Tempus fugit, aeternitas manet”, see you soon Andrejka.
