It has been over a week now since the first of the terrible news of Andreas passing. Only yesterday did we pay our last respects. But I feel a need to do more. For her family, for her. This is my idea. If it is alright with Andreas family, I suggest we all send funds over for some sort of memorial. I was told that the media was not at all involved or even slightly mentioned her passing. I do not know if that was the familys wishes or not. But if Andreas family did not want to keep it quiet, I am stupord on thinking why. After all she was an international athelete.
If anyone deserves a huge, from the heart memorial it is her. It is obvious that from postings on this board and several others, I think the funds would be available. Also, on top of that I suggest a possible cancer fund in her name.
A lot of us, maybe all of us, didn't make our true feelings known to Andrea (Lea) like we should have. It always seems to be too late. But of course not one of us could of ever imagine this happening. To me this just seems to be a right thing to do. What do you all think?
Apparently, this idea has been OK'd by Andreas (Leas) sister. It would be nice if others had some opinion here. We really need to let them know what we all want to do. That way we can begin to raise any funds nesesary. Even if you think it is a bad idea please comment.
Remember weeks ago? When we would of done anything for Lea to get better. Send funds, praying, thoughts for her. Do you all remember? I believe she knew that there were people who wanted to help. I don't think anyone, xpected the magnitude that it ended up being. Believe me, I know it is very unfortunate to have to make a diffrence in this situation. However, so many of you wished that you could be apart of Leas life. Even though that cannot happen now, you still can make a diffrence. We all want to. So we all need to find a way this can work for Lea, her family, and all of us that care enough to be there beyond the funeral. And I know there are many. Your opinions are needed and welcomed. Let us decide if we can or cannot do this. And if we can I hope that it can be known before or on the 26th. This was Andreas birthday. And even though she is not with us anymore, it would be one hell of a gift to her. And who knows if she can in any way she is watching us. And so far I am sure she is pleased. Let's all keep her and her family on our minds this holiday season. And let's make something that all persons will know that she was a very special person. Together we all can make something very memorable. Let's do it. Please post you comments or other ideas.

I Fully Support Para's Absolutely Brilliant Idea...That Organizing a Special *Lea De Mae Memorial - Monument Fund Drive, would'.. actually allow us all to do even more for Lea's memory and her*Star !
I was also very happy and incredibly pleased to read the latest news, that Lea's ever helpful sister wonderful Lucie Absolonova..Approves of this very sincere and fine gesture from "Para"..I should also mention here, that something very enchanting and heavenly is happening at this Lea De Mae forum, I felt it when I logged on just a short while ago .
So, before I continue, we should not even try to analyze it, it's a warm serene feeling that surrounds us all, it speaks to us from deep inside our hearts and souls, Lea's Beautiful Spirit has touched everyone who loves her, and it's the most beautiful precious feeling you can ever have and share !
I am sure that we all have some exciting ideas what *Lea's memorial monument should' actually look like,my base idea is something roundish possibly Heart Shaped Base..With a Special Christmas Star on Top.... With lovely Lea flying up towards heavens, with her white angel wings, her beautiful figure carved (three dimensionally) on the Heart Base.. And on the bottom area..Name & Short Lovely Poem for her Memory ?
This idea came to me very suddenly and spontaneously, I am sure that everyone here can contribute some wonderful ideas, to this humble beginning ?
I picture a statue of Andrea on a base with her arms reaching out. She was always reaching out to people. To love and to help. That is her spirit. I think on the front of the base would be a short meaningful verse or such that her family would come up with. Then somehow on the sides and back of the base, could be the names of the people who contributed to the memorial. This way in some odd sense we would have an everlasting bond that is physically seen by others. It would also show the support she had.
You know what I think she would say at the bottom of the back of the base? I think she would say something like this. "Just another girl, huh"? I know she went thru a lot of pain. She pretty much put on a front. However, with it all over and if she could (can) see whats happening now. She definatley would be quite pleased with our support and love, and tell that one place she worked for, (we all know who) just where they can kiss it. Just because she had that loving sense of humor.
